Jeka Vinograd
Born in Ukraine and based in Israel
I trained as an architect at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
I work across the full life of an object: concept, design, structural engineering, complex 3D modeling, fabrication and on-site installation.
Most of what I make lives at the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and exhibition design - whether I'm executing my own original work or engineering and fabricating concepts for other designers, artists and visionary clients.
The work ranges from desert installations to permanent interactive exhibits in national museums. What holds it all together are the lines - a geometry worked out on paper and in CAD, then translated into steel, timber, concrete, bamboo, composites and light.
Built to be walked through, climbed on and touched.
I lead projects end to end while staying on the shop floor with the material. Whether bringing a client's grandest vision to life or originating the concept myself, I carry the idea from the first sketch to the moment the crane sets it down.
